6:34pm. “Everyone is getting an air fryer for Christmas.”
A few weeks ago we were gifted an air fryer as a thank you gift. Since then, life has completely changed.
I’m not sure how we made it this long with out this miracle appliance, but dinnertime has become magical. The kids eat what I make, clean up is easy and everyone gets along. Ok, well, that last part is a lie. But honestly dinner time has been transformed. After one week, I immediately sent Maggie one from Amazon. Only half joking, I texted her that everyone else is getting one for Christmas.
Why everyone needs an air fryer:
It’s fast
It’s healthy
It’s kid friendly
It’s easy to clean

TISMS: Biggest Air Fryer Hits
Breakfast
I did not expect that breakfast to be an air fryer meal, but we were wrong!
French Toast: We like this recipe from Forktospoon.com. It’s only 5 ingredients and super quick.
Bacon: Bacon just feels healthier in the air fryer. We like these instructions from thekitchn.com.
Breakfast Burritos: This idea from everydayfamilycooking.com is something to make ahead either for school mornings or a lake weekend. They freeze and store easily.
Lunch
Lunch is where kid friendly and low maintenance is critical.
Grilled Cheese: I’ve seen some pretty fancy air fryer grilled cheese options, but this recipe from projectmealplan.com is fast, simple and kid approved.
Crescent Hot Dog: This is fun without the bun from airfried.com
Sliders: This is always a hit with kids. This recipe is also quick and a good portion size for kids.
Dinner
I’ve always struggled to get protein to the right temperature - not to under or over cook. The air fryer takes all the guesswork away and makes it easy to get it right every time.
Salmon: No prep and super fast to cook. I like the glaze and this is easy with rice and a green veggie.
Pork Loin: The brown sugar is critical. This comes out perfectly every single time.
Enchiladas: This was a surprise to me - like the breakfast burritos I didn’t expect to make this in the air fryer. These cook quickly and most of the ingredients are likely on hand!
Veggies:
No more arguing over the green stuff. We’ve unlocked the secret to getting kids to eat their veggies.
Green Beans: From Kitchen Divas So flavorful and the perfect side dish.
Corn on the Cobb: Another easy-peasy option, especially in the summer.
Broccoli: This is a fan favorite in our house and goes well with almost any protein. Chewoutloud.com
